By popular demand, peeps wanted to see a process. So I made this a bit ago. Thought I'd put it on my blog. Almost at 800 subscribers. Once I get to 1000 I'll do a video! A long and good one! HARD WORK

This is some of what I demonstrated at the Concept Workshop I did this past Monday. It was a great turn and I thank all those who came out! :) Much appreciated. Next lecture I'll do some more painting, but I wanted to make it clear that HARD WORK is what it takes to achieve your goals. So work hard everyone. Work hard.

Also, want to note that I haven't been doing lunch sketches, because I have been fairly busy. BUT They will be coming soon! Just hang in there. Thanks again for all the support guys! I'll be posting more frequently next week. This week, Probably not though :(

More Robots with PROCESS GIF!

I started this new painting process to see if it will help me paint more mechanized stuff a bit faster. The post below this one also was painting in this manner. Below the Jpg is the GIF of the process. It took me roughly an 40minutes to do this. Still needs some refining, but still effective. I would imagine full body characters would take me much longer. 3-4 hours probably. Hrm... must dive into this a bit more.

1 Minute Gestures

I can't stress enough how important it is to do studies, and practice your fundamentals. Also I want to make a point that no matter what excuse you may have about doing them, just do them. Find time, even if you only have an hour! I did all these in an hour, and forced myself to only spend 1-2minutes on these. I learned a lot and found things I still have questions on. I know now what to go practice some more. Practice practice practice. Don't expect your studies to be amazing, if it's easy then you are studying wrong.

Was looking at some Adrian Smith stuff, got me inspired so I started to do some brush studies, and found a way to mix it in a bit with how I like to paint. Needs more practice but I'll get in better control with it soon enough ;)
